Vitamin B12 is often one of the lesser understood vitamins, if you ask people about vitamin C or D they generally know how and why they should be getting it, while that isn’t always the case for vitamin B12, it should probably be as it plays an important role in our day to day energy levels as well as our overall well-being.
A vitamin B12 deficiency generally leads to tiredness and a lack of energy and is thought to affect up to 1 in 10 people in certain age groups. While the main symptoms are associated with lethargy and tiredness a deficiency can actually present in much wider symptoms that left unchecked can cause serious long-term health problems.
